Music Channels

MTV Rocks
Owner: Viacom International
The logo is very Bold and brutal its right in your face and the black colour is generally related to most types of Rock music. The green around the typeface underneath separates it out from all the other MTV channels and also gives the logo a sense of madness. I also like the fact that the "M" is in 3D whereas the rest is in 2D. I would say the age group that this channel will vary from anyone who is 15 years old to anyone who is 30 years of age.

I feel this channel would be very suitable for our music video.



Viva
Owner: Viacom International
The font and the colour of this logo suggests false sense of quietness and calm, but when you think about it the bright pink colouring it gives you the impression of dance and night clubs. This channel would definatley attract the younger age group, I would suggest noone about 25 would watch this channel.

This channel would not be appropriate for our music video.


Kiss
Owner: Box Television
The Kiss logo is very similar to the Viva logo. The logo's colour sometimes changes colour and the version I found I think suits the music channel the best. Maybe because its purple people may say that its more feminine and maybe more females do listen but it is very much a multi gender channel. The logo suggests a very energetic channel and once again more of a dance and techno channel. The age group that would watch/listen to this channel I would say would be very large from around 12-40 years of age.

I don't think this channel would be appropriate for our music video.


Kerrang
Owner: Box Television
This logo just shouts out rock music. The lines throughout suggests cracks in the logo due to loud music and the font is also quite aggressive as are the colours. The age group that would mainly watch this channel would be approximately ages 15 to around 30.

This channel would definatley be suitable for our music video.
