Iconography - Sandhya Gulsin
In music video production, producers reflect on the iconography of previous videos that in which creates an expectation for each genre. Iconography in media is;"Discussing imagery as iconography in this way implies a critical "reading" of imagery that often attempts to explore social and cultural values. Iconography is also used within film studies to describe the visual language of cinema, particularly within the field of genre criticism." In this post I am going to explore theiconography in both indie and rock videos then evaluate how they both compare. In order to reach out to our audienceand make our video successful I have created a glogster of iconographic things in which are needed to make our music video an all-round success.

Group Dynamics

My group consists of me and my good friend Sandhya Gulsin. I feel we work very well together as we have similar tastes in music and styles of video and we also have similar levels of ambition with this project.I think that we will be able to get to conclusions easily by discussions and be able to meet each other in the middle to create a video that suits both of our styles.
Effect the Song has on an Audience
I wanted to research the effect the song has on more people than just my family and friends so I looked up live performances of the song and watched the crowds reaction.
The song seems to be some sort of anthem to the fans of The Killers. It is a song that appears at every appearance and is definatly a fan favorite and a good song to "jump to". This means that we have a lot to live up to with our video and it must be of a very proffesional quality.
